Basement We Have a Problem

I would call this the Trifecta of problems, but that would be one short of accuracy.

They obviously have a water bug infestation.

They also have a rodent problem.

And they certainly have a fly infestation.

But they also have a PMP (Pest management professional) that is not handling the rodenticide products correctly.  That blue packet is supposed to be in an approved, secured bait station.

But regardless, this basement will need some major time and effort to get into great shape.  Time to roll up the sleeves and dig deep.

Counter Attack

Looks pretty normal from this angle, but let's go deeper...
 Yeah, not good.
Bad, very bad.

And this, my children, is why the flies have taken over Manhattan.

Rub it in

Here's some rodent sebum (rub marks) in the corner under some stairs in a restaurant basement.

Obviously the mice enjoy this area.

Try to deal with this.

Heal the ceiling

I see this more than you might think.

Basement ceilings which are just wide open messes.

It's great for us to get our products up there.

But let's close it up.

Draining for Dollars

One of our over night technicians Melvin found this little problem spot in your kitchen.

Somehow the tile got lifted up and part of it got broken, and with the moisture that spills over from the drain gathering there flies were breeding at record pace.

Yes we treated it, and yes we cleaned it, but until you invest in the necessary repairs, it's going to keep making flies.

And therein lies the rub.

Get on it soldier!

Corn on Pilgrim

The industriousness of the ants of the world is well known.

Here we see a discarded cob of corn in the middle of a busy NYC sidewalk, and the ants have wasted no time in harvesting their food supply for the foreseeable future.

Given enough time they would strip this corn cob nearly bare.

I'm sure they didn't get all of it, and it's likely that many of them got deposited into a sanitation container.

This is just a further illustration of the need we all have as city residents to keep the sanitation levels at their maximum height possible.

And if you're feeling lazy, go to the ant.

Ew York City will be back later in the week.
